Whether it’s after school, on school-release days, or during summer, kids 18 and under can visit participating community sites for no-cost healthy meals and snacks from Minneapolis Public Schools. Children do not need to attend Minneapolis Public Schools to participate!
Community sites include MPRB parks, Hennepin County Libraries, or other local community sites. Please check in with the park or library directly for meal times, menus, and the latest information. The Minneapolis Park & Recreation Holiday Schedule can be found here.
Due to mechanical issues, the food trucks will not be serving meals this school year.
Community members are urged to reach out to the specific site for building hours, and which meal type they offer, as each site may choose to serve up to two meal types (from Breakfast, Snack, Super Power Box, and Dinner). The Free Meals for Kids app can also help determine hours and meal types. See more information in the right-hand column of this page. List below updated 09/25/23
Free nutritious school meals for kids 18 and under are only a click away. The Free Meals for Kids mobile app helps families and kids in need find and access free meals at nearly 400 schools and community sites across Minnesota.
