MPS Culinary & Wellness Services is excited to again be hosting our annual Farm to School Community BBQ -- a celebration of local food in our district and community! The Farm to School BBQ brings together MPS families and staff, farmers, chefs, local leaders, and community members for a fun, food-filled evening in September. This free outdoor event includes delicious local foods, fun hands-on activities, live music, a corn-shucking contest, and more.
New this Year – Ask a Farmer! We are tremendously proud of the farmers who grow food for MPS. Farming combines hard work, creative problem-solving, and careful coordination with our natural environment. What would you like to know about local food and farming in our region? Work together with your class, family, and co-workers and submit your questions here. We’ll ask the farmers at the BBQ and share answers throughout National Farm to School Month in October.
Everyone is invited to this FREE event! Bring your whole family and join us to try delicious local food, meet our farmers, enjoy family-friendly activities and experience our True Food philosophy up close. We hope to see you there! (In case of rain, the event will be held the following day Thursday, September 28.)
Volunteers Needed – Celebrate our local food system by volunteering at the Farm to School BBQ! Please complete this form to register as an individual or group.
Feel free to print this flyer (in PDF format) on standard letter sized paper!
