Winter can start to feel long if we just stay inside every day after school and on weekends. Why not get outside and try some fun activities to keep you active?


The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board offers winter fun galore!


Support local foods through the winter months by visiting one (or all) of the Winter Minneapolis Farmers MarketsMinneapolis Public Schools supports local foods: Check out Minnesota Thursdays.


There are 77 Minnesota state parks and recreation areas--including Fort Snelling State Park in St. Paul and Afton and William O-Brien state parks, less than an hour drive from Minneapolis. The parks host winter family fun events and a variety of winter activities.
