Summer Site Requirements
In order to be a meal service site in the Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) Summer Food Service Program, you must 
  • a nonprofit organization
  • located in an area of Minneapolis that is deemed area eligible for the SFSP by the MN Department of Education
  • ...plan to serve meals to at least 25 children ages 1-18 at your site each day
  • ...plan to serve meals to children on at least 20 days during the program
  • ...have adequate refrigeration for any meals that will not be served within 1 one hour of receipt from the MPS Food Service Department
  • ...agree to be in compliance with all Federal, State, and local laws and regulations pertaining to the Summer Food Service Program
  • ...have at least two staff members who will be present during meal service attend a mandatory training session at the Nutrition Center prior to receiving any meals.
If you are not able to comply with all of the above requirements, please refer to the list of approved Summer Food Service Program Sites. This list will be available on this website after June 1. All children ages 1-18 are welcome to eat the meals provided at these sites.
