Farm to School Opportunities

MPS Culinary & Nutrition Services is looking for a volunteer Farm to School Intern for the summer of 2014! The intern would work with the Farm to School Coordinator 10-15 hours per week on food sourcing, farming and gardening projects. MPS Culinary & Nutrition Services and Youth Farm are co-hosting an AmeriCorps VISTA Member for one year, starting in June 2014. Between projects like coordinating garden volunteers, conducting a Census of school gardens in the city, and developing a Youth Advisory Council, the Vista will have a chance to work with a variety of partners. The Vista member will spend the bulk of the summer working with Youth Farm’s on-farm programming and will spend the school year primarily working at MPS’ Nutrition Center and at school sites.To learn more and apply for the position through the AmeriCorps website, visit:
